During the 14th Annual Awards ceremony of BONHATA, the Bonaire Hotel and Tourism Association, Digicel Bonaire was honored with the Industry Award. The Industry Award is annually granted to a company or individual, whom has shown dedication and enthusiasm for the island of Bonaire as well as an understanding of the importance of tourism to the economy and well being of the island. Digicel as a result was privileged with this award for its contribution to the Bonaire Tourism Industry for providing good quality telecommunication services. “Digicel is a dynamic company which gives so much back to our island.  They are not only selling their product but also teaching people about the new age phones, technology and Blackberry’, mentioned the president of the BONHATA organization. ‘They have set up numerous work-shops to inspire young women in business to strive to be professionals and have donated large amounts of equipment and funds to the local community’.
